Max Francis
Congratulations to Max Francis who passed his driving test today 19/1/23 at his second attempt with 3 driver faults. Before coming to me Max had already had a little driving experience, even so his improvement was meteoric by the end of his first lesson he drove home having negotiated his first roundabout, he continued to make fantastic progress by practicing what he had learned with his dad. I believe he only actually started driving about 15 weeks ago, and in that time somehow his mum managed to find not one but two tests! Unfortunately his first test failed due to technicality. Today however he was almost perfect. A fabulous result for a fabulous pupil. Well done Max

I chose Neil Cameron due to the very good reviews that I had seen online about his pass rate and style of teaching, in comparison to other driving schools that were local to me.
It was important to me that the instructor that worked for me would be passionate about teaching , patient and very thorough. It was also important to me that my instructor would be able to personalise my lessons based on what I had to work on through their own observations.
Although It sounds weird there was a lot of driving involved which was wonderful. After stopping with my instructor Neil temporarily when I started Uni I did some lessons down in Nottingham with a private instructor.
After over 10 hours, hardly any driving had been done due to a lot of prolonged explanations. I ended up making the three hour trips from Nottingham in the week just to do lessons with Neil because he made me feel very confident in my driving. I was confident that with the instructing that I was receiving in St Mary cray I would be able to pass my test.
My instructor Neil was very calm and easy to approach he answered my questions and allowed me to be at ease when driving . He was very encouraging even when I made mistakes and would find personal techniques that allowed me to become a better driving if the usual techniques were not working for me
I would 1000% recommend Neil as I passed with 2 minors which I'm very proud of. I looked forward to my lessons and actually miss them now even though I have passed. I hope to be going back to do the pass plus package.
Not a lot could be done to improve the service that I received as my instructor and communication from the office originally were top notch. Even after passing.

I cannot fault Matt Shurmer Driving School... I used the Sidcup school and would not change anything. I Chose Matt DS because searching online they had the best reviews, everyone seemed happy. I was looking for a reasonable price and trusted driving school that could offer an 'intensive' course to fit around my availability ASAP. After a assessment, I booked a block of intensive lessons with Neil C, who was the best. I couldn't recommend a better instructor. Neil's methods were perfect, nothing was a rush I didn't feel under any pressure. 6 days, 5 days of lessons, I passed 1st time with no prev experience. Timing was great, 6hr lessons Weds-Friday and Mon & Tues the following week. I didn't need a whole week off work or study. I can't thank Neil enough.

I googled reviews. The prices were fair and Neil had a lot of flexibility with booking lessons. My instructor was Neil C, first lesson went amazingly well. He made me feel confident behind the wheel from my first lesson right up until I passed my test. I couldn't fault my experience with him. If I made a mistake he kept me calm and let me find my own way of driving without telling me that I should be doing it his way. I would recommend Neil to anyone taking lessons.
